MATERIAL & CARE
At YARD YARN, we craft our pieces using 304 stainless steel—a material prized for its durability, corrosion resistance, and suitability for tropical climates. Naturally hypoallergenic for most wearers, 304 stainless steel contains trace amounts of iron and nickel; we advise caution for those with hypersensitive skin.

Our silver steel finish offers the highest level of durability, while our gold steel pieces are typically vacuum plated for lasting brilliance. Though resistant to tarnish, we recommend minimising abrasive contact and extended exposure to humidity to preserve the finish. Occasionally, other plated metals may be used—these are more prone to tarnishing with exposure to air, moisture, perfume, or humidity.

Select designs may also feature ornamental beads or leather accents, which are synthetic unless otherwise specified on individual product pages.

While our jewellery is designed to withstand everyday wear—including the occasional shower or a night’s sleep—proper care ensures longevity. To maintain their original luster, we recommend the following:

• with moisture, especially chlorine or salt water.
• with a dry, soft cloth after wear.
• your pieces in a clean, dry place—ideally in the provided clear pouch.

REPAIRS
We take great pride in the quality and craftsmanship of our jewellery. With mindful care, each piece is designed to accompany you for many years. However, as with all jewellery, it is not impervious to damage—excessive force or impact may result in wear or breakage over time.

Should your piece require repair, please reach out to us with a detailed description of the issue. We will gladly assess how we can assist in restoring it. Kindly note that a modest repair fee may apply for damages resulting from undue wear and tear.

CUSTOMISATIONS
To assist with sizing, we’ve included an approximate conversion chart for your reference. If you're searching for a specific length, please don’t hesitate to reach out—we’re happy to help. Most of our designs can be customised within 2 to 3 inches at no additional charge.
